Bangladesh today banned Harkatul Jihad Al-Islami, an Islamic militant group days after its top leader was arrested, a home ministry statement said.
The statement said the Harkatul Jihad Al-Islami has been banned because of its terrorist activities.
One of its top leaders Mufty Hannan was arrested several days ago and is being interrogated by security agencies.
The two other groups banned in February are the Jamatul Mujaheedin Bangladesh and Jagrata Muslim Janata Bangladesh.
