Someone, I believe George Galloway, referred to Italy as the banana republic of Western Europe, and in an environment like that, IF it's true, mobs, thugs and gangsters rule the roost. It's not an obtuse speculation that Plame & Wilson were a mob frame, patsy... diversion, while the nuclear smuggling continued unabated...

Has anyone seen reference to an AQ Khan/Italy connection.
