[lbo-talk] bush and zero tolerance

i cant find references online (quick google search), but i heard at least one scott mclellan press conference and one bush interview, where they were emphatic about "zero tolerance" for "looters". at one point in the press conference, mclellan was asked about those who may be taking food and essentials. his response was that there was still zero tolerance for such things since the govt was arranging alternate means.

my thought is, why is this not getting more air time? isnt it ridiculous (even by non-left standards) for a president and his spokesperson to say that they have zero tolerance for those taking food in order to survive?

btw, i havent been posting links because i am assuming everyone is tracking this stuff anyway, but just in case not: there is a lot of news footage on the net with some decent reporting: there is even one of geraldo crying. there is ted koppel, paula zahn with the fema chief. there's the NO mayor's famous radio interview bit. there's the rap dude's "bush doesn't care about black people" clip. there's some weatherman/reporter blasting senator landrieu. there is even one of one of the fox reporters talking smack to sean hannity.

i have seen links to some of these posted here. for general left audio/video content "crooks and liars" is a good source.
