I was stunned the other day when I asked evolution-believing listeners to my nationally syndicated radio show to call in and tell me why they believed.
"Just give me one reason why you accept the theory," I said. "Just give me the strongest argument. You don't have to give me mountains of evidence. Just tell me why I should accept it."
Not one evolutionist called in.
---------------------------------------------------------------- Yes, but wouldn't the response be the same if the host had issued a similar challenge to any complex scientific theory? I mean, just substitute QED for evolution - who is going to call the show in support of QED and then to try to explain the theory to some skeptical radio personality? On the other hand, all kinds of cranks would probably call in to announce that the Mitchelson-Morley experiment actually confirmed the existence of the cosmic ether.
