I'm not going to get into a protracted discussion of this but if you think the deaths of 95% of the native North American population was not deliberate then you need to read more about that topic.

Just to do a comparison, these are the figures on the largest Native American population sizes in the US vs. the stats for the largest indigenous groups in Russia, using the 1990 US census and the 1989 USSR census. Draw your own conclusions! ;) The Bashkir population alone is almost as high as the ENTIRE US native population.
