But we have. We won in Massachusetts. And havng won the right, and people having lived with same-sex marriage without major disruption for a year, has defanged the effort to have it banned.
No legistlature is going to take up this issue without outside prompting. In California it took a mayor to open the door. Now it is up to the courts, since the the legistlature cannot override the executive's veto (so much for doing it through the legistlature).

That should only serve to unite the left even more. The only people that the right will attract are those leftists who are not left in the first place.
