Odd, the NY Times says that the reversal of lane direction to expedite the Houston evacuation was halted: "Officials also made matters worse for themselves by announcing at one point that they would use inbound lanes on one highway to ease the outbound crush, only to abort the plan later, saying it was impractical." <http://www.nytimes.com/2005/09/23/national/nationalspecial/23storm.html?hp&ex=1127534400&en=0a3ea99a4db2bcc1&ei=5094&partner=homepage>

First, I couldn't trust the NYT on WMDs; now, I can't trust it on traffic reports. What's next?
