Totally agree. I was only able to view it once at the San Francisco Film Festival. But man, it blew me away. Great stuff...a hundred times better than the disappointing "Stalingrad". The same director had made "Das Boot", probably THE classic submarine movie, but came up way short (IMO) in depicting the horror of the Russian Front.
