Ya' know I wouldn't even mind the points of view if I could just see the same level of passion exhibited on substantive issues as on factional animosities. It isn't the animosities that offend me. It is the almost exclusive focus on them. There is something so quintessentially American about such sectarian purist antipolitics. The only thing that unites any group of Americans is what they're against.
