Check out the ISO. They're at www.socialististworker.org, and go to their ISR mag archives. I don't find their argument credible--I made the case better when I was still pushing the Third Party argument--but at least theirs is civil and moderately thoughtful and fairly well developed. Their chief Democratic Party bear baiter is Alan Maas, if memory serves.

You might also want to look at back issues of New Politics, www.newpol.org, though I can't remember anything offhand that deals exclusively with unions and the Democrats. I did a piece for NP slamming the NYC unions a few years back for not growing balls and asking for so little, but that had more to do with the CLC sucking up to Giuliani's 1997 mayoral run than with a third party choice.

Cockburn did a cranky piece on Kerry for New Left Review #29 www.newleftreview.net Has some fleeting reference to unions.

Counterpunch www.counterpunch.com might have some stuff, too.
