New York's Spanish-language radio stations and several English-language stations have united in calling on their listeners to join a march in protest of a Congressional immigration bill (H.R. 4437) that's set for Monday. Spanish Broadcasting System's WPAT (93.1 Amor) is a co-sponsor of the march, which is being organized by The New York Immigration Coalition. More than 100,000 people are expected to attend, and among the many organizations joining this march are 9/11 Families for Peaceful Tomorrows, African Services Committee, American Association of Jews from the Former USSR, Asian Americans for Equality, Doctors of the World USA, Korean American League for Civic Action, Polonians Organized to Minister to Our Community Inc., National Puerto Rican Forum, Arab American Association of New York and Centro Hispano Cuzcatlan.
