SEOUL, April 6 (Reuters) - Hynix Semiconductor Inc. (000660.KS: Quote, Profile, Research), the world's second-biggest maker of memory chips, said on Thursday it would invest $230 million to set up a chip-making plant in China.
The plant will be built next to the South Korean company's $2 billion joint Chinese plant with STMicroelectronics (STM.PA: Quote, Profile, Research), Europe's second-biggest chip maker, Hynix said in a filing to the Korea Exchange.
