The US -- one way or another a fantasy-addled nation for most of its history -- has now taken complete leave of reality as the world's only religion-saturated advanced economy. (For full details, I much recommend Kevin Phillips' "American Theocracy.") The US may be embroiled in the most catastrophically idiotic war of all time; American workers may be systematically impoverished by the greed of the executive class and the incompetence of the government; but the question of the day is ... did Jesus conspire with Judas?
