To be honest, I never quite got the [western] left's fascination with a man whose claim to fame is trash-talking Mother Teresa, while telling us:

> medicine man, who fleeces the sufferer by promises of miraculous
> healing.
I have the same misgivings about another popular fellow, Seymour Hersh, who is remembered in the same cursed India for his claim that Morarji Desai was a CIA agent (or some such) even as the Janata Party (and its components) struggled to power (and to keep power) after the abomination of Indira Gandhi's Emergency.
Perhaps that is the reason why some posters choose to [what seems to me] to defend India against all criticism.
