A friend in the SF Bay Area said he saw Noam speak a
year or two ago, and when asked something about Howard
Stern, Chomsky replied he was not familiar with who
Stern was. Poor Noam. I love him to death, obviously,
but when it comes to pop culture-type stuff he's out
of his depth. But it's in a very cute, naive,
endearing (to me, anyways) kind of way.
