Jim : is it? what do people think?
^^^^^ CB: Isn't the concept of zero-sum game is present in the Marxist analysis of dividing up the value appropriated from the production process between the wage-laborers and the capitalist, the workers and the coporation ? There is a definite amount of value produced in any fixed period of production. If the portion of the value appropriated by the capitalist goes up, the portion appropriated by the workers must go down, and vica versa.
The immediate, economic class struggle is driven by this zero-sum game.
