[lbo-talk] Norwegian black metal update

Some of us have set up a few online groups -- those of us who like black metal, that is -- so we can share info on what bands believe what. It gets confusing with all the variations thereof -- NSBM: National Socialist Black Metal, and some of the suspiciously "pagan" Euro stuff that, with all the Wotan-glorification and crypto-Jew bashing, really does have Nazi undertones to it. A lot of times you'll think a black metal band is good, then you'll read some interview where one of the members will open his stupid mouth and make some dumb comment and ruin it all.

ISKRA (from Canada, no less) are one of the few politically right-on metal bands I can think of. (Chck'em out-- very anto-capitalist and anti-racst: http://www.myspace.com/hellonfire )

The next episode of my show, Radio Schizo, will focus on politically decent black metal -- or black metal-inspired, dark, epic crust and hardcore that's anti-capitalist and anti-sexist, etc. But there is a ton of racist, bullshit, Nazi black metal out there. I only wish a lot of them were anti-Christian for the right reasons; instead, many of the BM bands are anti-Christian because they see Christianity as a Jew-inspired, Mid-Eastern religion that unjustly supplanted native European paganism of the Wotan/Asatru ilk. =(
