Criticisms, sure I'm full of them. Ethno-religious nationalism of any kind is revolting.
But, 90% of those here posting on Israel and Palestine are adherents of the line that Israel is, "a shitty little country, " 'nuff said. Practices and reactionary ideological/religious positions, more than apparent in the Israeli political culture, escape notice from Arab states. And, for you esp. I would think that the extreme repression of Communists by Arab states would be troubling. No secret I prefer Socialists and social democrats (the S.I. has many Arab members, Walid Jumblatt has said many sharp things of late, for example) vs. Communists but, they have played a mostly honorable role in the region since the 20's.
