I'm sure there is a substantial minority of Israelis who are shocked and repelled by what is going on, but however substantial, they are clearly a minority and one with no influence. The majority of Israelis are currently insane. Since I have never been willing to indulge the mass insanity of my fellow Americans (as years of LBO posts will attest), I have no interest in muting my criticism of the lunatic recklessness, fueled by overswhelming domestic public support, shown by America's regional representative Israel -- recklessness that not only is suicidal for Israel but could also trigger the mother-of-all-blowback here in the US.
