What on earth could be hard about learning to love screwball comedy and film noir?
Is it hard to learn how to breathe?
Just sit her in a room with Claudette Colbert, Carole Lombard, and Jean Arthur (preferably in movies made by Mitchell Leisen), and once she emerges she should be fine.
As for noir, give her films by Robert Aldrich, Edgar G. Ulmer, Robert Siodmak and Anthony Mann. Avoid all neo-noir (excepting Aldrich) and things will be okay.
It worked fine with my husband.
