[lbo-talk] A Marshall Plan for Lebanon?

I would like to promote this idea on the grounds that 1) the US is
responsible 2) everyone is pissed at us 3) giving people jobs building
stuff tends to put them in a good mood 4) it's plausible that the
endgame of this is that this is the last Israeli invasion of Lebanon,
and a permanent strengthening of the Lebanese government and political
system, and a vigorous Marshall Plan would help bring this about 5)
the amount of money involved is huge relative to the Lebanese economy
but 6) piddling in relation to the US economy.

An ideal spokesperson for this would be someone involved or connected
somehow with the original Marshall Plan who would be willing to e.g.
write or sign an op-ed on the topic. Any leads?
