1) The European far right is moving in that direction, and I provided examples. Germany has circumstances very specific to it, and far right German nationalism therefore usually involves an attempt to rehabilitate the Nazis and their record. However, it doesn't matter for the purposes of assessing who one should support since the far right have often appropriated the language and causes of the left. The British far right likes to pretend it is 'socialist' when it suits, supporting trade unions, attacking globalisation and all that stuff. It is a question of the ideological matrix into which such stances are integrated. The reason why it is important, and why I mentioned it, is that it is indicative of the shifting nature of racist ideology. Anti-Muslim racism is by far the most dangerous, threatening form of racism in the advanced capitalist countries today.

2) Pat Robertson is a big Israel supporter: http://www.patrobertson.com/Speeches/speechreaction.asp You could be confusing him with Pat Buchanan, but then Buchanan is no more to the right than Robertson.
