Honda Motor Vietnam Company officially sold its locally assembled Civic models on August 24.
A Honda Civic with a 1.8 liter engine and manual gear cost VND 495 million (nearly US $31,000), while that with automatic gear was sold at VND 515 million (around US $32,190). A 2.0 litre engine model with automatic gear was priced at VND 605 million (equivalent to US $37,800).
Honda Motor Vietnam plans to assemble 10,000 Civics a year. The cars are produced at Honda Vietnam US $60 million plant in Vinh Phuc province near Hanoi.
