Vietnam is an important market as it offers great business opportunities for foreign investors, said Nicholas Donofrio, Senior Vice President of Technology & Manufacturing for IBM Corporation.
Appreciating the country's potential for sales and its highly skilled human resources, he stressed that global groups should find it reasonable to continue investing in Vietnam.
Nicholas was talking with the Lao Dong (Labour) Newspaper on the sidelines of the National Conference on Innovation Vietnam 2006 held from August 22-25.
The IBM senior official, who has spent 42 years dealing with the world's IT market said it is possible that Vietnam will soon be able to narrow the gap for this field.
He also expressed his wish to help Vietnam improve its quality of education and training to create a skilled labour force conductive to the country's development process. (VNA)
