I'm not sure how a fire-sale privatization is primitive accumulation - seems like an old story in capitalism. Morgan screwed a lot of small capitalists when putting together his trusts - was that p.a. too? Commodification is a lot more like the p.a. of Kapital, but how does that fit into the structure of accumulation today? How does it stack up against trillions of dollars worth of trade and capital flows, the movement of vast quantities of cars, microchips, and even rubber duckies across oceans and national borders? And how does the creation of new proletarians today differ from the ancient story of rural people coming to town for work?
