Of course, those PS2 titles, Miyazaki movies and anime spectaculars are chockful of dissent. Heck, Nintendo's Mario is an icon of proletarian internationalism: the manual laborer who triumphs over symbolic rentiers, great and small. The dissent is there, just re-routed.
