What's old is new again. Sounds like a replay of the Iran-Iraq war of the 80s -- though without Iraq, in a sense. Kind of an ideal scenario for certain schools of thought about the Middle East -- Arabs fighting Islamist Persians, but without any inconvenient and potentially disobedient Arab states.
