Yeah, that puzzled me, I thought that is what it literally meant and it must be an idiom I hadn't encountered. To housebreak or housetrain is stubenrein machen; housebroken is stubenrein or sauber. But Verhausschweinen means just what it sounds like, huh? Go figure. Can you give a context in which you'd use it? I know several people who've had house pigs -- Vietnamese pot-bellied pigs, awful creatures. I'd even rather live with a teenager. ;->
