Standard issue heteronormativity? I guess I missed the massacre of queers in the US when Bush came into power. Maybe I was in Mexico at the time? I do wish you wouldn't consistently label everything a straight person does or any group of straight people as the work of "hets" as if all heterosexuals were a monolithic group with a single mindset concerning queers. Were I to articulate a particularly loathsome bit of behavior done by a queer and then claim "Well, that's queers for you", I'm sure I would get an earful. That line of reasoning is offensive...but that's white people for you.

I won't defend everything Castro did but I will defend a great deal of what he did and the reasons behind them.
