Bill O'Reilly, host of "The O'Reilly Factor" on the Fox News Channel, calls George Soros public enemy number 1
Bill O’Reilly says George Soros and Progressive Insurance Chairman Peter Lewis are leading enemies of traditional values
Dear dhenwood at panix.com,
I just finished reading Bill O'Reilly's book Culture Warrior. I recommend you read this book by the host of "The O'Reilly Factor." It will help open your eyes to what AFA has been saying for years.
What is most interesting about Mr. O'Reilly's book is what he says about billionaires George Soros, an investment banker, and Peter Lewis, chairman of Progressive Insurance: "For traditional-minded Americans, George Soros is public enemy number one. Without his unlimited cash (along with that of Peter Lewis), the S-P [social progressive] movement could not attack so readily and so effectively---and with such venom."
Peter Lewis owns $1,176,130,144 worth of Progressive stock. That is over one billion dollars worth of Progressive stock!
Read more of Mr. O'Reilly's information concerning Soros and Lewis.
Some of you will remember Lewis donated $8.5 million to the ACLU about a year ago.
While Progressive's Web site lists Lewis as chairman, the company says he is no longer active. But he still gets his money from Progressive to attack social conservatives.
If you are a Progressive Insurance agent or a policy holder, do you really want to help those seeking to reshape America to their image?
Take Action If you are an agent of Progressive Insurance, change companies. If you have a Progressive Insurance policy, change companies.
Send an e-mail to Progressive telling them you are changing companies and/or canceling your policy.
Forward this to friends and family so they will know how Soros and Lewis are using their billions of dollars to reshape America.
If you think our efforts are worthy, would you please support us with a small gift? Thank you for caring enough to get involved.
Sincerely,
Donald E. Wildmon, Founder and Chairman American Family Association
P.S. Please forward this e-mail message to your family and friends!

Bill O'Reilly Calls George Soros Public Enemy Number 1
Progressive Insurance Chairman Peter Lewis His Partner in Funding Radical Left
Note: The following material is taken from Bill O’Reilly’s book Cultural Warrior. Pages are noted. You can order Cultural Warrior by clicking here. (While AFA recommends the book, we receive no income from sales.) We have added boldface for emphasis. Also, material in brackets is not from the book. Mr. O’Reilly refers to the Radical Left as “secular-progressives,” or S-Ps.
Continuing to operate pretty much under the radar, [billionaire George] Soros has cemented his alliance with another billionaire, seventy-year-old Peter Lewis, chairman of the Progressive Insurance Corporation. [Note: Lewis is no longer active with Progressive but owns over a billion dollars worth of Progressive Insurance stock. Lewis has given millions to the ACLU over the years. In one gift alone, he gave them $8.5 million.] These guys are working feverishly to ensure that the secular-progressive battalions are supplied with plenty of resources and firepower by which to pursue their global foreign-policy strategy and radical domestic agenda. Their primary attack vehicle is the far-left Web site MoveOn.org, which routinely slanders and smears perceived opposition. With MoveOn as a conduit, Soros and Lewis funnel money to other smear Web sites that target individuals in the media and politics for personal attacks. This is a nasty, nasty business and one that is constantly “evolving.” --Page 39
I mean it. For traditional-minded Americans, George Soros is public enemy number one. Without his unlimited cash (along with that of Peter Lewis), the S-P movement could not attack so readily and so effectively--and with such venom. Soros envisions a libertine society that soaks the rich (except him) and forms no judgments on personal behavior. His one-world philosophy would obliterate the uniqueness of America and downsize its superpower status. His secular approach would drastically diminish Judeo-Christian philosophy in America and encourage his own spiritual philosophy: atheism. George Soros is truly an imposing force, and his elite media allies are making him even more so. We ignore him at our peril. --Page 41
So count anti-Christian people and America's drug dealers among those delighted with the secular-progressive movement. As I've pointed out, George Soros and Peter Lewis, the S-P moneymen, are not real big on religion but are huge on drug legalization. Lewis was described as a "functioning pothead" in a Fortune magazine article and was arrested in New Zealand in 2000 on drug charges that were later dropped. Soros's big-money backing of medical marijuana legislation has led to chaos in San Francisco and parts of Oregon. With media like the New York Times providing a strong wind at their back, it is high times for Soros, Lewis, and also for their simpatico pal Randy Cohen. High times, indeed. --Page 74
S-Ps are also behind the euthanasia movement, which is, again, opposed by many religions on the same grounds as abortion. A hall- mark of most traditional theology is that only God has the right to decide the matters of birth and death.
Want another one? Legalized narcotics is frowned upon by many organized religions because intoxication is not considered a healthy act; that is, it does not bring a person closer to God—or to anyone else, for that matter. As previously stated, S-P bankers George Soros and Peter Lewis are pouring millions of dollars into campaigns to legalize drugs. --Page 81
George Soros and Peter Lewis, the big S-P moneymen, travel in almost exclusively white circles. Bill Moyers and his media followers are all a whiter shade of pale, to quote an old Procol Harum rock song. -- Page 146
Most of the time, the secular-progressive players avoid me. George Soros would never consent to appear of "The Factor;" nor would Bill Moyers or Peter Lewis or Walter Cronkite. --Page 151
