Williams was on the show to talk about Kofi Anon. Here's the transcript and analysis by another critic:

Some of the interesting things he says are,

......... About Kofi Annan - I think he was a surprise. This is an impossible job. He's got to be a diplomat, he's got to be a standard-setter. And if he's too censorious, if he goes to Ariel Sharon and says, "You're a bloodthirsty murderer," he can't talk to him the following day..........

........ I think he is really going to be regarded as one of the great secretary generals, because it's this very peculiar mix that the job requires, his ability to talk to people who are pretty evil and yet lay down moral standards, and it's very difficult........

........... I mean, he was also a prominent figure in peacekeeping at the time with Srebrenica.

And, you know, the easy let-out there, by the way, is it was Clinton's presidential directive that said there will be no more peacekeeping forces, no reinforcement and no more money for the peacekeeping force in Rwanda..........

"I wonder why on earth Goodman is interviewing Someone who supported US attack on Yugoslavia and one who appears to have smeared many leftists on Yugoslav affairs notably Diana Johnstone.

She could find pretty good people who actually knows Annan's shameful history if she wants.

Speaking about DN, People like you, Johnstone etc never appear. Didn't she ever ask you for that program? I know you wrote a lot about DN during Pacifica crisis."
