summary i posted was from handout that i put together a couple of years ago for course i teach, i was looking at some materials for this term and it kinda jumped out at me in light of recent lbo threads on health care, info came from website, unfortunately, i neither have website address nor could i find anything summarizing plan in similar fashion when i googled around some today...

there is some stuff on line if you can get past companies advertising their specific plans, seemed to be more negative/critical than positive, including several articles from texas-based/rightwing national council for policy analysis (which includes statement saying that articles are not intended to influence policy, must be tax- exempt status protection thing)...

see below for article which apparently first appeared in afscme magazine in 2004, abou role that organized labor, particularly iwlu played in writing and pushing the legislation, about 33% of hawaii workers were in union when health care plan passed in '74... mh
