I have not heard him say that. Or if he has, he means spirituality in a very broad sense..ie valuing humans rather than just profit motive. I heard him on NPR the other day and he did not say that the Left needs to be more spiritual. He did say that the Left needs to be more tolerant of the religious Left. He may have a point. I dont know.
