The left traditionally distinguished between individual self-interest and workers' collective (class) interests. The latter involved ideals and values.

On the other hand, the business Right (pushing neo-liberal crony capitalism) has an easy job in many cases, because class or collective interests correspond closely with individual capitalist interests. -- Jim Devine / Bust Big Brother Bush!
