I'm definitely not friendly to anarchism, and I do appreciate the
advantages of alphabetization -- but you do realize that arranging
information alphabetically (I used to know when it was introduced --
17th or 18th c.?) destroys other kinds of order in the arrangement of
information? It isn't a matter of order vs disorder but, more
accurately, disorder vs disorder. It is certainly chaos is come again
when atom, atheism, and atheling are all grouped together arbitrarily on
the same page.
