too bad he didn't fix the spelling of thru and tho... there was a
movement a century ago to finish this job, including such luminaries
as Teddy Roosevelt and Col. McCormick, of the Chicago Trib. The latter
rag used "modern" spellings when I was growing up near Chicago.
