There are other examples of this in health care. I've read before
(don't have references at hand) that the industries which produce the
greatest amount of chemical industrial pollution and cause many forms
of cancer, including breast cancer, are the same ones which also
manufacture chemotherapeutic agents. These companies jump on the pink
ribbon bandwagon and play the politics of breast cancer, without
publicly acknowledging their culpability in creating these horrible
diseases.
