I agree with Cooper that Pacifica is less interesting these days. But Cooper is still a know-nothing opportunist with a platform. My dog is smarter than Cooper, and more principled -- yet no platform for him. Part of the problem with leftist groups and organizations has always been their willingness to suffer any kind of crap, even provide a platform for it, in the name of participatory democracy. Cooper should ask himself, first, whether he could cut it in the kind of world he fantasizes about. He dreams of rational and humane corporations, whereas, it seems to me, not only are his fantasies wrongheaded and worthless but his opportunities in the corporate world are exactly nothing. Not even a third rate broadcaster, yet he goes on and on about broadcasting and Pacifica. Of course Pacifica can't live up to it's mission; can't bring in bigger audiences; can't be professional; can't do anything. Get rid of Cooper and rest of these amateurish reactionary hacks, then, maybe, it has somewhere to go. Louis
