I did and I didn't. I knew there was a slim strand of that sort of feminism in academia. Where she's thriving seems to be those who are outside academia.

It's made me wonder if she's ever done anything else that pissed people off.

E.g., people are going on and on about how she doesn't care about violence against women. They talk about how she has blood dripping from her hands because of what she does. The horror that she wrote for Playboy.

Playboy? That's tame stuff. And then someone is going on about how she's a shill who only cares about making money. ????

Well, yah! You kinda gotta care about that, assholes!

What I can't get over is the lying about her. I mean, they are saying that she masturbated to stories fo women being raped. As it turns out, she'd written that she masturbated to the Meese Report which she'd sais was like porn written by g-men. There were included in the report 21 stories of women being raped in the porn industry.

So, the lie is that she masturbated to those 21 stories. And, of course, she probably didn't really masturbate, it was a figure of speech since that entire essay in "On our backs" was about how the anti-pornsters are more obsessed with sex than any pornsters ever dreamed of being.

Other people are saying that she thinks she invented the sex liberation movement!!!!

JEez. She was a serious feminist.
