For me to enjoy at all a TV show it has to be close captioned. And I can't watch a movie in a theatre without "an assisted listening device" (unless, of course, it's a foreign film). Though perhaps the $5,400.00 I've just spent on new hearing aids will help.

But not being able to hear rap music is a good reason to keep one's mouth shut about it. I'm convinced that most attacks on it are pure racism. It can't be the music or the actual words because those attacking it are too ignorant of both to say anything concrete. And the examples they can offer resemble attacking shakespeare on the basis of reading poorly printed edition of Elizabethan political ballads.
