Though not involving a death, there's a near-hilarious N.Y.C. criminal 
court decision by Judge Laura Jacobson in Peo. v Georgia A, published in 
the N.Y. Law Journal (Oct. 27, 1994, p 37) and maybe avaiable on WestLaw or 
the like, ruling that doing S&M dominatrix Stuff for a fee isn't 
"prostitution" under N.Y.'s penal law, and which recount's defendant 
dominatrix' "educational" testimony in detail while satirizing sex-obsessed 
judges.  Worth finding and reading.
