Vietnam earned around US $2.74 billion from garments and textiles exports in the first six months of this year, up 22.5% against the same period last year.
The country exported US $550 million worth of garment and textile products in June alone.
With these achievements, garments and textiles sector claimed the second position in terms of export turnover, after crude oil.
According to the Ministry of Trade, Vietnam is capable of achieving its target of earning US $5.3 billion from garments and textiles export this year. (Tuoi tre)
