I met Zeidler on a train from Chicago to New York many years ago -- '72 or maybe '73. Sat across from him the dining car -- they still had those -- and you always ended up sharing your table with a stranger. He was a quiet, amiable guy with quite a fund of stories. Didn't have much use for Harry Truman, as I recall.
