Someone on my college class listserv reports that Materazzi's father  
(M is the fellow who insulted Zidane, prompting the world-historical  
headbutt) was coach of a team that used to do Nazi salutes before  
games. Yikes.

Meanwhile, today's Chicago Tribune reports:
