The right uses fear -- a "negative" feeling -- very effectively. Can't the left use it too? Scare people with facts, for a change: The rightwingers are destroying this nation's core resources (its people, its environment, its human capital), bankrupting it, and turning it into a world pariah. The world doesn't respect us anymore -- nor are they afraid of us. They mock us.
And here is the positive side: The left has a bright alternative vision: a healthy and educated nation, with a strong economy, respected in the world stage.
