talking of the instituional structure under capitalism being more
efficient than under Socialism... the extraction of surplus , which is
a necessity for expansion of poroduction, is far higher under the
capitalistic instituional stucture. If this is the criteria for
judging the efficiency it is so. If extraction of surplus is
considered as unacceptable social exploitati9n, then what is growth
needs to be redefined. But capitalist instituion by extracting more
than what the instituional structure could put up with, as it is
driven by idividual greed, will ultimately lead to the breakdown of
the very structure as under monoploy. what is the fine tuned balance
which will sustain socially necessary growth rate is the key question.
