[lbo-talk] Antiwar demo yesterday evening in Tel Aviv

Last evening I went to the protest in Tel Aviv against the war. From
what I could gauge, there were approximately 2000 demonstrators. As we
walked along there was the occasional and carrying signs saying, in
Hebrew, "Traitors Against Israel" and a couple screaming "Kill the
Arabs," but the police pushed them away.

The demo was sponsored by Women against the War:
Coalition of Women for Peace, Achoti, ASWAT, Bat Shalom, Women in Black,
Fora, Tandi, Women against violence, Altafula, New Profile, The Fifth
Mother, WILPF, Neled, Beit Nashim Feministy, “Itihad al Nissa al
Takdumi,” Kian—Feminist organization.
