So by "gay" he means "bi" and "ex?" Since Bowie's been happily married to Iman for over a decade and has two kids.
And when when he was sleeping men in the 1970s he was the flamboyant figure in the world.
Heck, now that I think of it, is Cher even bi at all as opposed to a gay icon? If she is, she's actually *less* public about it than Bowie is or was.
The more I think about this comment, the more lost I am.
