Fear not. IG Metall, the Euro-unions, and the Euro-based social movements are wielding Gordon-Freeman-caliber particle weaponry against the evil Eurolibs. They shot down the Eurolib constitution, brought France's neoliberalization of its youth market to a screeching halt, and knocked Berlusconi out of office. Real wages are rising throughout Europe, while employment growth has been better than the US. Also, the EU is funneling 10-15 billion a year into Eastern Europe's infrastructure, so it's a mixed bag. Lots of good things happening, actually.
