Foreign Minister Nguyen Dy Nien on Wednesday presented a certificate of merit to outgoing Director of the US Agency for International Development (USAID) Jean Mainhard Gilson.
Ms. Jean Gilson has made contributions to boosting bilateral cooperation and increasing the US's development aid to Vietnam from almost US $2.7 million in 2000 to more than US $16 million last year.
The US aid focussed on Vietnam's economic development, trade, investment, information technology, environment, public health, and humanitarian area.
